JIM WITTER'S PIANO MEN

A Musical Journey Through the 70's Featuring the Music of Elton John and Billy Joel

Do you remember where you were when you heard the news that Elvis had died? Do you still watch reruns of “The Partridge Family”, “Green Acres”, “The Mary Tyler Moore Show”, “The Brady Bunch” or “All in the Family”? Are they still as funny now as they ever were? Were you glued to the TV console when Neil Armstrong took that monumental first step onto the moon or when President Richard Nixon shocked the nation by announcing his resignation?

Piano MenDo memories from your younger years come barreling back whenever you hear Billy Joel's "Piano Man"?

Did you proudly fill your closet with those paisley print polyester shirts, hip hugger bell bottoms, wide belts and those “far out” platform shoes?  Were you there when big hair was cool and when Jean Nate and British Sterling were hot? Was your car of choice a Ford Pinto, a Pontiac Le Mans or VW Bug?

If you've answered yes to all or any of the above, then you will not want to miss the Huntsman World Senior Games Concert and Celebration. Travel back to the 70's and the nostalgic world of Jim Witter's Piano Men (A Musical Journey Through the 70's Featuring the Music of Elton John and Billy Joel).  The show is Tuesday, October 14 at 7:00 PM at the Dixie State College Burns Arena.  Best of all, thanks to the generous support the Larry H Miller Group of companies, the show is absolutely free to everyone.

Whether you actually lived through the cool 70’s or you are just a fan of the decade, this show will take you on a heartwarming stroll back in time. It’s a year by year musical multi-media feast of favorites that will leave you wishing that the evening would never end. Dove/Juno nominee Jim Witter and his band are not only masterful entertainers but they create a magic that makes you immediately feel like you are surrounded by long lost friends.

Jim Witter's Piano Men is a musical reunion with the things that turned the 70's into the "wonder years" … moments in time that made us laugh and that made us cry…it’s a musical tapestry featuring the most loved hits of Billy Joel and Elton John celebrating the toys, the television, and the trivia that made us who we are today. Piano Men gives us the rare opportunity to put our cares aside and to view the world once again through the eyes of our youth. You’ll laugh. You’ll cheer. You’ll sing out loud. And when you leave, you may just find a new spring in your step as you find yourself using old phrases again like "far out!", or "sit on it!"
