Race Walking / Power Walking | Oct. 3-5, 2016
Few, if any, Racewalking events offer more variety to the athlete than this event. Pick your distance - 1500 Meters - 3K - 5K. Each is spaced over this 3-day event to allow you to participate in any or all of these races.
To ensure fair competition and to protect the integrity of the sport, proper racewalking techniques are required. Certified race judges are used to help in both areas.
However, free daily clinics are offered for anyone new to the sport who wishes to participate and for those competitors who wish to improve their walking technique. Come learn the proper techniques of racewalking at these clinics.
Anyone concerned about strict Racewalking rules should give the Power Walking event a try. As long as one foot is in contact with the ground at all time, you're in the safe zone for Power Walking. This is a great event for spouses or guests of athletes who are looking for an event with a very low barrier of entry. If you can walk fast, this is the one for you.
